After seeing the popularity of that post, I’m writing one more quick post around increasing Fans for a Facebook page. - Create a big list of friends and invite your friends to be Fan of your Facebook page. Also ask your friends to invite their friends to be Fan of your Facebook Page.
- Crate a popular group around your niche on Facebook and try diverting Fans to your Facebook page from this group.
- You should send polite email to other Fan page owners in your niche asking them to share it with their fans and ask them you will be doing the same with their Fan page. So this way, it will benefit both.
- You can think of advertising on some of popular pages and groups in your niche. You can get decent amount of targeted fans for your Facebook page by advertising on targeted audience on Facebook.
- Create an active Fan page where people actually find contents of their interest and don’t forget to update it regularly.
- Place a link or banner for your Facebook page on other web properties where you are active like your blog, website, other social media accounts or even in your email signature.
- Import contacts from Gmail, yahoo, hotmail accounts (where you have lots of friends and business contacts added) into Facebook and invite them to be friend of you if they are on Facebook. And once some of them accept your friend request, you can always invite them to be fan of your Facebook page.
- Become fan of some of Facebook pages in your niche and hope they will also become fan of your Facebook page.
- Spend some time on some of leading Facebook pages in your niche and see how they are promoting their Fan page and try implementing the same strategy on your Facebook page.
- Hold contests or give freebies as an incentive to be Fan of your Facebook page.
- Keep on adding 15-20 new-targeted friends to your list and invite them to be Fan of your page.
- Write on other people’s wall, page and group without spamming the Facebook system.
- Create a personalized landing page for new people coming to your Facebook fan page and motivate them to be fan of your Facebook page.

Facebook fan pages are very useful in getting regular readers to your blog. ( I am a fan of your site in facebook and most times I came to your site seeing an update in facebook.) Increasing fans in facebook is equally important as increasing the number of rss readers. Chances of creating a discussion and relations make facebook fan pages better than rss feeds.

Facebook has been quite the talk of the town these days. I just dont get all the hype. It works for some but not all.
