Most bloggers are improving their affiliate sales and increasing subscribers with aggressive email campaigns. But an email can never be successful unless readers click your links. These links may be URL to affiliate links, your blog or a squeeze page to your product. All successful affiliate marketers are very good at converting their email Subscriber’s into customers.
This post aims at helping you increase click-through-rates (CTR) of your emails. Here are 5 ways that you can increase click-through-rate (CTR) of your emails:
1. Clean Layout
Just as this point applies to blogs, the same applies to the emails that you send to your subscribers. A clean layout will ensure that your approach is professional and doesn’t look too flashy. Ensure that your header and text fonts are readable and the size of text is comfortable to read.
2. Send Excerpts of Your Article
It is always a smart move to simply provide snippets to your articles. Apart from obvious traffic to your blog to read the full post, it improves readability. Suppose your email comes with more than one article, then it becomes easy for the reader to scan though the email.
3. Always the Best the First
Always put your most interesting post and title first in your emails. As an email comes in, the reader will always look at the first post and decide his level of interest in the post. Many won’t even bother to scroll down to reach where you have provided the link or call-to-action. This is why compelling content at the top will encourage readers to scroll till the end.
4. Add a Video Screenshot
It is seen that people love to ‘click the play button’ of an embedded video, so most bloggers have noticed decent improvement when they have a screenshot of a video that “looks” embedded. Take a screenshot of your video as it looks embedded in a Web page, and include this in your email message. Then you can link it to the page with the actual video.
5. Always include the Call to Action
At the end of your post or message, don’t forget to include the call-to-action for your readers at the end. It is advisable that you include the link to your desired URL, both, at the end and the start of your email.

Good tips.
I really like the last time ‘Always include the Call to Action’. This cannot be emphasized enough.
Many people ‘assume’ that readers/subscribers will know something. Never assume something! Make it simple for your readers.
Layout exactly what you want them to do. If you want them to click somewhere, then tell them!
Nabeel
I think the 2 keys points that resonated with me for your article today was having a clean layout no matter which format you are giving or sending information. Emails that are long, I usually don’t bother to read.
The other point like Nabeel mentioned above was the call to action. How many times do people keep making this mistake. Always include it.
Cheers
According to me using consumer name (if you know) can also help in increasing the CTR. People feel special if you start the email with their name or use their name in the body of the email
Ya that’s true, people feel glad when they see their names mentioned in Email. That way our email looks more personalize and does not look a automatic email blast.
