I’m a big supporter of using WordPress for blogging purpose when compared with other blogging engines like Blogger offered by Google.com, one of reason behind this was the level of customization WordPress offers. But after yesterday launching of Blogger Template Designer in Blogger Draft, I think I have to change my views about blogger blogs.
With Blogger Template Designer in Blogger Draft, you can customize your blog to great extent like trying fresh new templates, changing background color, trying out different layouts, changing the font, color, size etc of different blog elements like page text, backgrounds, links, blog title, tabs text, tabs background, date header, post, footer etc and can even add your own CSS.

And to use Blogger Template Designer go to
Blogger Draft –> Dashboard –> Layout –> Template Designer
With Blogger template Designer, blogger is giving its users lots of freedom to customize their blog design. And if you also want to try this feature available in Blogger Draft, you will get:
- 15 New Blog Templates to choose from
- Lots of background colors for your blogger blogs
- Customizing blog template with one, two and three columns Layout
- Option to customize different page elements
When you click on the Template in Blogger draft, you will see list of templates available:
When you click on Background tab, can try out different color schemes:
Clicking Layout tab will try out different layouts and can change your blog to one, two or three column:
And when you click on Advanced tab will show different page elements with their customization options:

It does really work! and it’s awesome! I see there is a new feature to add pages but I haven’t been able to figure out how that works. Do you happen to know? I added Home page but I don’t know how to set up separate pages. I would love to be able to do that.
