Adding Facebook Share Button to Blogger blog posts
Follow the following process to add Facebook share Button to each of your Blogger blog post:
- Login into your Blogger and on the Dashboard Click Design –> Edit HTML
- Take backup of your template before proceeding to the next step by clicking the Download Full Template link
- Mark the check box against Expand Widget Templates to view full HTML version
- Find the following code into your template:

And paste the following code just after this line of code:

</div> - Click Save Template button to see Facebook Share Button in action on your blog.
This way Facebook Share Button 
will be added in each of your post just after title towards right. And to show this button towards left, just replace right with left in div style=”float:right first line code. You can use the following code to change the Facebook share button style as per your choice:
Replace box_count with button_count to use button 
in this style
Replace box_count with button to show button 
in this style
And replace box_count with icon to show Facebook button 
in this style
Adding Facebook Share Button to WordPress Blog Posts
There is a Facebook Share Button plugin available in WordPress Plugins Directory here that you can use to show Facebook Share Button in each of your WordPress blog posts. You can customize this plugin as per your choice easily without making changes in coding.
- Download this plugin and copy into /wp-content/plugins/ directory
- Activate from Plugin Menu into your WordPress Admin
- Go to “Facebook Share” option to configure the button

But then, would blogs with few visitors benefit from showing the FB counter, as it will show a big ‘static’ zero… I believe blogs with steady number of readers should show those FB icons, it can fire back easily and show that the blog is not ‘active’ enough…

Adding a Facebook share is a great way to get more traffic and to promote your site better. Everyone uses Facebook and its a great form of promotion.
Really satisfy with your thoughts. You will get maximum benefit of these, if you have blog with decent traffic. But with low traffic blogs even, you can get some social media votes easily.
As long as you have the right target then it could maximize your post and increase much traffic for your site. These are indeed helpful widgets to implement in your blog.

I tried this several times and it doesnt work. I get this error message:

What am I doing wrong and what can I do to get the share button on my blog?
