Study the Commission Structure
Each affiliate program on Commission Junction has its own unique commission payment structure. CJ has also a variety of affiliate programs where the visitor does not always need to buy anything. Most affiliate programs have a definition of sale. For most programs it is quite straightforward and simple. But in some affiliate programs they offer a little complicated definition to what constitutes a sale. Just to be on the safe side and not put your hard work in vain ensure that you read and understand the basic conditions of sale for a particular affiliate program.

Hi Great detailed advice on Commission Junction. I have heard about it, but never used it.
What I use is Clickbank, which is the largest retailer of digital goods online. I am fairly satisfied with them, so I do not see a need to try any other affiliate program.
But there is no harm in checking new and different programs, so I will definitely check out their offers.

CJ is a great affiliate program for sure. As Anil mentioned above, its very important you check out and understand the commission structure. Some programs pay much better than others.
Because there are so many types, it can become confusing. One helpful tip is if you are not sure, post your comments at places like scopeformoney.com or other forums. People will help you make an informed decision.

Can you please tell me if i am allowed to put the links from advertisers on twitter? I just joined CJ a week ago and i twitted one of the links and made some money right away but now im not so sure if thats forbidden or not. My advertiser only says this : “Affiliates must not place affiliate links or creative in vehicles (site, emails, etc) that primarily target children under the age of 12″ .. so no mention of twitter. Tnx
