How to make money and Traffic with Squidoo

Some of you already know about Squidoo and how to use it effectively. Squidoo is gaining lots of popularity these days and can be used as an excellent source for making money online and for promoting our favorite stuff. If you haven’t heard about Squidoo, I will tell you how to use Squidoo effectively to bring more traffic and sales to your websites.

Squidoo is a website that we can use to create a page on any of our choice for free. Each page that we create on Squidoo is known as a Lens. We can create lens about any topic, idea, places, people, hobbies, sports, products, politics or about anything we like. Each user who creates a lens on Squidoo is called a lensmaster. Lensmasters can add text, images, videos, Amazon products, RSS Feeds, Guestbook, Polls, linklist, YouTube Videos, Twitter Follow, Google Maps, Flickr photos, Google blog search RSS etc to their lens.

By creating a lens on Squidoo, you will be able to get lots of traffic and links for your websites and blogs. And when you have high amount of traffic on your website, then you can use that for monetization. We are able to drive high amount of traffic to our websites from Squidoo by adding links for our website in Squidoo lens intro section, Sidebar About Me, Text modules we add and in the comments section on other lens.

Making money with a Squidoo lens

Now let’s discuss how to make money from a Squidoo lens. Best thing about Squidoo lens is that they rank quite high on all major search engines for all major and minor keywords. Make a research in a niche you are most interested in and find 1-2 affiliate product sites in that niche.

Do some research work on Google and find some keywords people would be using to buy the product you are selling. Now write some quality articles using these keywords and put them on your Squidoo lens. And at the end of each article or even in the article body, use your website/Affiliate links.

Promoting a Squidoo lens

Here are some tips that you can use to promote a Squidoo lens:

  • Submit your Squidoo lens on all major Social media sites and include link to your Squidoo lens in your profile page there.
  • Write articles about your niche and submit them in Ezine submissions websites and don’t for get to link to your Squidoo lens in your Article Body or Author Section.
  • Submit your Squidoo lens to all major search engines and directories
  • Find top groups in your niche on Squidoo and Joins them with your niche lens.
  • Add links for your Squidoo lens on your websites/blogs
  • Leave valuable comments on other Squidoo lens in your niche
  • And don’t forget to include your Squidoo lens in your Signature on Discussion forums and outgoing Emails.
