This is a list of very useful ways for gaining popularity as a Blogger. I think giving readers what they want is the most important things. We Bloggers should learn from PEPSI and Coca Cola the marketing strategies they have adopted have made them very popular throughout the World. We should also do marketing continuosly even if we are ranked Number 1 blog on the web.

I think #36 classifieds is a really under utilized resource. And don’t just limit yourself to Craig’s List (the mods there can be quiet touchy to be honest lol), usfreeads and inetgiant are good ones to use as well. Just to name a few. Usually classified adds wont be as picky about the places/pages/posts that you link to either.

There are more websites, more blogs, more social networking sites, more books…it’s harder for anyone new to get attention because thousands of bits of information every day. however search engines also regard domain ranking apart from page rank. Although I do tend to use some of these dofollow high PR sites over the the smaller nofollow ones, so this list will come in handy for you and everyone. Thanks

I used to really like Squidoo and Hubpages as powerful ways to make money as well as gain traffic and links. However, nowadays those two are so saturated that the amount of time required to make a solid lens that performs well on the site as well as the search engines so great that you might as well apply such efforts to the blog itself.
I suppose if you are just starting out, however, Squidoo and Hubpages are good, user-friendly ways to garner some attention and generate revenue, especially because Google will be a LOT kinder to those two established sites than to your new blog.
