According to latest update from Paypal, personal payments options will remain suspended for the next few months here in India. Paypal is currently working with regulators and bank processing partners in India to resolve this problem. Lot of paypal users has been facing several kinds of difficulties within their accounts after Paypal reversed all of personal transactions here in India. Some of problems I himself faced due to this suspension are:
- Lots of my transactions were reversed recently, so don’t have any funds into my paypal account. Even have negative balance into my paypal account.
- When I tried transferring funds into my local bank account in the first week of this month, funds were restored back into my paypal account.
- I was unable to send some payments as they were all reversed back into my account.
- Some of my transactions are hanging midway, don’t know what will happen with them and how should I react towards them.
Update from Paypal
According to latest update from Paypal:
- Personal payments option will remain suspended for few months
- Local bank transfer is suspended temporarily. Customers will be able to transfer funds into their local bank account within next few days.
When I checked my paypal account today, I got $20.57 USD into my Paypal account from Paypal. This is the amount I actually get from Paypal that they charged earlier as a transaction fees on my transactions which were reversed. So this amount is coming as a surprise refund from Paypal today. Here is the screenshot of that transaction into my account:
