Guest Post may not only help you get traffic but also help you in creating back links and improve visibility of your blog. Many high traffic and high PR blogs allow their readers to post guest articles. Make sure that you use your best post for guest articles.
Videos
Videos are very under-used technique by bloggers. Mainly because many people do not find it a very attractive option. Its not only professionals who can create videos. You can also go ahead and upload a few videos to video streaming directories. Watermark your videos – people who like your video will definitely visit your site. The fact about videos is that it can viral massively. Many people may download the video and if it gets popular then many will watch it. Consequently, you can attain traffic.

This is just what I needed. I have started my website a while ago and I think the content is quite reasonable (http://hgtmmo.co.cc). All I need to do now is build links and drive traffic toward my site. Though I am struggling quite with this
A great concise brief manual. Though you said nothing about social networks. What do you think of it in the context of getting traffic to your blog? You just create a relevant Fan Page on Facebook and exchange links! Quite similar to what you wrote about Forums, though I wonder why you didn’t mention Facebook.
