Sign up with these social networking, bookmarking sites, online forums, and blogging communities, and then from your homepage or profile, post the links to your product’s site. Web 2.0 applications are sources of viral traffic especially if you have the talent to socialize and interact with other online users.
Build your email marketing list
Build your list by offering giveaways for your viewers in exchange for their emails. You can build your list very quickly by establishing a joint venture with other Internet marketers. You form a group with other marketers who are in the same niche as you are but who are not competitors. In one page, each of you will offer giveaways to visitors. You can giveaway an eBook, DVDs, photos, or coupons in exchange for their emails. Then, all of you will share your email list with one another. This is a quick way to build your email-marketing list and a sound method of Internet marketing.
Now, you can send product emails to your clients. Prepare a template that would catch the attention of the reader immediately. Show the benefits of the product instead of asking them outright to buy. Endorse only products you truly believe in. Your integrity will be your future Internet marketing secret. If they have proven that your products are good and reliable, then you will not have to convince them to buy the next one. Build a good rapport with your clients.

I have to agree with you that building an email list is so important that I wish I would have started earlier.
